I was invited to produce the animation video “How to have an abortion with pills: Mina’s story” for Ipas, a nonprofit organization that works globally to improve access to abortion and contraception so that every person can determine their own future.
The client briefing was to make an animation video with very clear infographics accessible to all women, portraing a reliable character who shares a personal abortion with pills experience. It was great to be part of team of women artists creating such a necessary content. Here in Brazil, for example, abortion is still considered a crime unless the pregnancy was due to a sexual assault, or that the pregnancy puts the woman’s life at risk or that the fetus has anencephaly.
Abortion with pills is a safe and effective way to end a pregnancy, but you must use the right medications. There are many counterfeit and poor-quality abortion pills available.
